Rice Cooker Review

Do you love rice? We do!

One of our favorite meals at this Lazy-Girl’s house is Asian stir fry. I tried for years to cook rice but had a hard time mastering the skill. So, I settled for boil-in-the-bag white rice, assuming I could never fix rice the way we want – like they do at our favorite restaurants.

Not anymore!

One day, when we were filling our plates at our favorite Asian buffet, I noticed they used a rice cooker to keep their rice warm on the buffet, and I had a brain fart! I could buy a rice cooker and make all different kinds of rice instead of just the flavors that come boil-in-the-bag! And, as a bonus, I could also buy in bulk and save money ….!

So, I went to the store and looked around. I ended up getting THIS rice cooker on Amazon for less than $30. That’s less than the price of our family going to eat at the restaurant one time.

Can a Lazy-Girl make perfect rice?

But the big question was …. can a Lazy-Girl, who isn’t the best cook, make perfect rice using a rice cooker? It would have to be virtually idiot-proof for me to use it…

YES!

It came with a measuring cup, and there are numbered lines on the inside of the cooking bowl. All you do is add however many cups of rice you want, fill the water up to the corresponding line, and then turn it on.

That’s it! it even turns itself to “warm” to avoid over-cooking when the rice is done.

It’s just the thing for a small family or people who don’t eat a lot of rice at a time, and there are larger models for bigger families. This rice cooker also functions as a steamer, and a slow cooker. It doesn’t get much better than using one gadget in place of three gadgets. Less expensive at around $30, and less items to clean!

Making perfect rice with this rice cooker is so easy. It’s just the thing for a Lazy-Girl like me!
